DAVAO CITY-Looks like "Pinoy Big Brother" celebrity housemate Gretchen Malalad is in big trouble. She may lose her job in the military because she failed to ask permission from her superiors before entering the contest.
Lt. Col. Restituto Padilla, Philippine Air Force (PAF) spokesperson, told the Inquirer by phone that Malalad, who holds the rank of Airwoman Second Class (AW2C), was declared absent without leave (AWOL) on Thursday.
Malalad's job is unknown to many. Most fans know her only as the gold medalist in karatedo during the 23rd Southeast Asian games. Her PBB housemates have no clue.
Padilla said Malalad was already in trouble as early as January, when she stopped reporting for work at the Air Force Service Support Group (AFSSG) in Villamor Air Base.
She made things worse by joining PBB, he said.

Rico, Rustom and Gretchen are back!
Saturday, March 11, 2006 11:28 AM
The so-called "sacrificial housemates" of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition have returned to Big Brother's house. Rico and Gretchen returned before midnight while Rustom only went back this morning.
At around 6PM yesterday, Big Brother took the three housemates "out of the house" together with all of their belongings. This was part of their decision to switch places with the current nominees, Keanna, Aleck and Roxie and save them from possible eviction.
What happened while they were away?
Last night, while the housemates were clueless as to the whereabouts of Rustom, Rico and Gretchen, Big Brother asked them to discuss who among three "sacrificial housemates" should return to the house. Instead of sticking to the topic given by Big Brother, the housemates decided to turn things around and discuss who among Rico, Rustom and Gretchen, should not return to the house.
As the celebrities revealed their choices, they didn't have a single idea that their discussion was being televised inside the confession room, where Rustom, Rico and Gretchen were temporarily being "detained" By Big Brother.
A low-blow on the Karate chick
Gretchen was in tears and visibly upset while watching the discussion since most of the housemates didn't want her to make a "comeback." Most of them said that when Gretchen decided to save Aleck from eviction, she seemed ready to return to the “outside world.”
While Aleck was firm on her opinion that it was alright for Gretchen not to return to the house, the other housemates mostly gave a safe answer. "Tutal sa ngayon majority naman ang gusto si Gege (Gretchen), so doon na lang ako," Zanjoe said.
Just like the karate chick, Rustom and Rico were also displeased with how the housemates deliberated on the issue. Rustom cried and got very frustrated. "Hindi man lang napag-usapan yung halaga ng bawat isa…mag-recall lang naman sana ng mga bagay na magaganda at kung ano yung mga mapupulot na aral sa nangyari. Honestly, hindi naman madali sa amin itong ginawa namin. Kung importante sa kanila na manatili sa bahay na ito, importante din sa amin yun," Rustom disclosed.
"Ginawa ko yung decision ko in good intention for a friend. Parang ako pa yung masama…Kailangan bang magdrama dito sa bahay para isipin nila na ikaw yung karapat-dapat mag-stay? Ako may problema pero hindi ko naman kailangang sabihin sa lahat ng housemates diba? Kasi kaya kong i-handle yung isang bagay," Gretchen explained as she questioned the housemates' consensus after their discussion.
Just this morning, Big Brother has announced to the housemates that Aleck, Roxie and Keanna are still nominated for eviction. Big Brother explained that the events that transpired during the past two days was just his way of testing how much do the housemates value their friendship.
