Pagdanganan's brother nabbed for illegal possession of firearms
Police nabbed the brother of Bulacan gubernatorial candidate Roberto Pagdanganan, along with five others, including two police officers, for the possession of firearms, ABS-CBN News reported. Confiscated from Herminildo Pagdanganan, barangay chairman of Santo Niño in Bulacan, was a short-stock M16 Armalite, two shotguns, three .45 caliber pistols, a 9mm handgun, six sets of ammunitions. The gubernatorial candidate said the firearms seized from his brother were issued by the police. He added that he asked his brother to arm himself while checking his area for vote-buying incidents. However, Senior Superintendent Asher Dolina, Bulacan police chief, said the firearms are not licensed. Bulacan police said another brother of the gubernatorial candidate, Monching Pagdanganan, reportedly flashed his firearms on another barangay chairman.
